Sunday is Sandnes Garn's thin 100% merino wool variant, and it's the perfect basic yarn: a thin, non-superwash treated yarn that can be woven in both single and double yarns. It can also be woven together with Tynn Silk Mohair.
Merino wool is not only insulating, it also wicks moisture away from the body and retains heat even when wet, thanks to the structure of the fibers. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it starts to feel wet. Sandnes Garn's merino wool is sourced from producers who do not use the mulesing method.
