Fonty SAPERLIPOPETTE is a beautifully fluffy, precious and delicate yarn. Although it does not contain any goat hair (mohair), it complements the mohair yarn family in appearance and feel. SAPERLIPOPETTE is a flexible and elastic yarn that feels as soft as velvet, and is also an excellent alternative for people allergic to mohair.
Completely natural, it consists of a subtle blend of three exceptional fibers. 65% baby suri fibers give it a light, misty and fluffy appearance. 20% silk adds durability, elasticity and a shiny silky appearance to the yarn. The extra-fine merino wool fiber completes the whole by giving the yarn fluffiness, volume and softness.
The Suri is a species of alpaca that is raised semi-wild in the Andes Mountains. Its wool is finer, more wavy (a bit like dreadlocks) and shinier than the wool of the regular alpaca (huacayo).
SAPERLIPOPETTE can be knitted alone, double or combined with another yarn. When knitting alone, it is recommended to use needles size 3.5–4 (mm).
It is recommended to wash SAPERLIPOPETTE by hand with mild soap (Marseille soap, organic if possible), without spinning, and dry evenly.
